Rishi Sunak’s announcement on March 3rd means Beer Duty has been frozen for the third consecutive year.

Since July 2018, Long Live The Local has driven 500,000 signatures and 285,000 emails to local MPs. Until pubs closed last year, 25,000 pubs were actively supporting the campaign with beermats and posters. We know that MPs have heard the voices of our supporters and the Chancellor’s freeze is a sure sign of that.

There is still much to be done to help the beer and pub industry recover from the COVID-19 crisis, and the team behind Long Live The Local are hard at work to ensure our supporters can continue campaigning for local pubs and breweries.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign for the last three years, and to the Chancellor for freezing duty at the Budget.

Long Live The Local!
